The one we've been waiting for - is available now! The Dimlux Xtreme Series 750W LED produces ultra-high levels of PPFD, evenly spread over a 1.5×1.5 m grow area, with a full grow spectrum, producing consistently high-quality & high-yield indoor crops.
Available in 1000w, 750w and 500w
The Dimlux Xtreme Series LED provides the latest horticultural-led technology to provide high-yield indoor crops. It utilises the PhytoVegSpec® spectrum and output power to provide the perfect spectrum for supplemental light distribution, vegetative light and flowering light, tailoring your spectrum and output power for the stage of your plants life cycle.
HIGH PHOTON OUTPUT
Dimlux LEDs use the top bin emitters and are paired with high voltage drivers to deliver extremely high light levels. Our own test, saw the 500w Xtreme reach over 2000ppfd in the centre at 1ft
When you hear Dimlux, you know it's going to be good, and they ain't playing no games with this beast; 2.7μmol per watt in the traditional 400-700nm range, and 2.9umol per watt in the 350-800nm range. The magic number (total output of PPF) for comparison against other LED manufacturers is: 3035umol/s.
SECONDARY OPTICS
The Dimlux Xtreme LEDs are kitted out with hard, high-penetration lenses (rather than a coating on most LEDs) which better direct/intensify the light downwards so there is way better light penetration. Think of it like using a magnifying glass to focus the sunlight to an intense beam.
The harder covering on the Xtreme LEDs means they can be properly wiped clean, and are less likely to degrade as fast as other LEDs on the market
NIR (Near Infra Red - aka FAR RED )
NIR means Near Infrared. NIR is a red light that becomes visible with a thermographic camera. It is therefore not directly visible to the naked eye.
The theory that this red light would not contribute to photosynthesis is outdated. New studies have shown that when the red spectrum and NIR are combined, the sum is equal to or even greater than the individual parts. So the colours Red and near-infrared must be combined to work properly.
Studies show that combining red and far-red increases the photosynthetic rate BEYOND the sum of the two. Which translates to bigger flowers. Dimlux Xtreme Series lights offer SIGNIFICANTLY MORE RED than any other LED grow light.
NIR or non-NIR - Which version should I buy??
The NIR version combines the red and NIR together. Good right? However, NIR will make your plants stretch a bit more than without NIR. So if you have higher ceilings, or can manage that height, then go with the NIR.
Note though, a separate NIR add-on will be made available for the non-NIR version, thus getting the benefit of having low/no NIR during veg, then busting out the NIR during flower! However...currently the NIR unit is the same price as the non-NIR unit and there's no eta yet on this NIR add-on bar..!
TILTED DEEP PENETRATION LENSES
The tilted bars provide the ideal balance between light penetration and uniformity.
The patented Ultra high transmittance lens is internally shaped in such a way that light rays which normally reflect back to the LED (converted back into heat) now end up just next to the LED and get reflected.
DOPPLER RADAR PROXIMITY SENSOR
This feature provides a green work light by knowing when you're in the room through its proximity sensors! These night lights will turn off based on the duration you can set on the unit menu.
FIRMWARE UPDATES
From a laptop linked via wifi to the LED, you can get the latest firmware updates, settings and presets.
For example, recently a scientific study showed that by cycling the red light separately from the white light (on and off in a certain sequence), it was more efficient than leaving it on continuously.
This 'programme' will be included as a new preset in the next firmware update.
