How Does it Work?

The Metu Fast Clamp is often considered the ultimate tool to assist you in connecting the various components of your ventilation system. This premium quality clamp is manufactured from galvanised steel and contains polyethylene foam. It uses a 1-bolt fixing mechanism which will guarantee a quick fitting. The foam can seal a difference or variation of up to 4 mm in duct sizes. Using this, you’ll be able to connect carbon filters directly to your fan.

How to Use?

Use the clamp on fans, inline ozone generators, carbon filters and silencers. It’s better that you use these to connect your fan with your filter than yet more lengths of ducting, as they are much more secure and produce far less drag.

To use these, you need to measure the flange size of either the carbon filter or the inline fan to ensure that the clamp can form a good, tight seal between these parts. When you know the size of the flange, then you’ll need to match this size with the size of the clamp (and seven different sizes are available, so there’s bound to be one to suit your needs). For example, a 100mm (4 inch) filter would need a 100mm clamp.

To connect the clamp to your fan or carbon filter, you unscrew the single bolt on the clamp’s side using an Allen key. This process allows room for the clamp to glide over the flange effortlessly. Then you push the clamp onto the fan, or carbon filter, then insert the ventilation hardware you want to connect to the other side. You then tighten the bolt to make the equipment safe and secure.
